It was not a good news for the Zhemgangpas when the Tingtibi-Wangdigang bypass road was open to traffic. However, on the other side it has come as a boon for the people of Tingtibi. Our reporter, Pema Samdrup, says within a few years the town has seen a lot of development.

A few years ago, plot owners in the town were reluctant to construct houses as they saw no scope for business. Today things have changed. The residents said the town has seen a lot of development within a short span of time.

“Compared to the past, a lot of buildings and hotels are coming up since the motorists have to travel from the town,” said Chimi Dorji, a Businessman.

The town at the moment has about 60 residents.
