His Majesty The King granted Citizenship Kidu to 359 people and granted an Audience to them at the Kuenrey of the Tashichhodzong yesterday.

The recipients took part in a ceremony of Oath of Allegiance to the Tsa-Wa-Sum.

His Majesty reminded the recipients of the profound responsibilities that a Bhutanese citizen has- to nurture the Bhutanese identity, promote trust and unity amongst the people, and participate wholeheartedly in nation-building, in order to leave behind a shining legacy for the next generation, just as our forefathers have done.

His Majesty The King has granted citizenship to 10,220 individuals till date.
