The Deputy Director General of Thailand International Development Cooperation Agency presented over US$ 40,500 to the Education Ministry to support school agriculture programme. The Deputy Director General presented the amount on behalf of the office of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s project in Thailand.
This collaborative project on children and youth development will be launched in three schools of Genekha Lower secondary school in Thimphu, Wanakha Lower Secondary School in Paro and Yurung Lower Secondary School in Pemagatshel.
The fund will be utilised in schools for agricultural and bio-fertiliser production using local micro-organisms. The project after its implementation is expected to establish a small scale integrated farm in the schools.
