Three new Shedra principals appointed

The Dorji Lopen of the Central Monastic Body appointed three new monastic school principals this morning at the Punakha Dzong.

40-year old Kuenley Dendup from Wangdue Phodrang has been appointed as the Principal of Lekshed Jungney Shedra in Punakha.

Prior to his current appointment, he served as the Head Teacher at the same Shedra for seven years.

Dorji Tshering from Paro is now the Principal of Talo Shedra in Punakha. He previously served as teacher at Phuentshogling and Simtokha Shedras.

Ngawang Kuenga Pelden from Wangdue Phodrang is the new Principal of Simtokha Shedra.

He previously served as Vice Principal at the same Shedra for 11 years.
