A 26-year-old man was arrested this morning from a house near the vegetable market area in Thimphu for possessing more than 1,000 contraband substances.
The man from Gelephu was arrested following a tip-off.
Police said the man is a drug abuser himself. He was in Thimphu looking for possible buyers. He will be charged for possession and use of controlled substances.
This year alone over 60 people were arrested for possessing controlled substances.
