The week-long Moenlam Chenmo in Trongsa ended yesterday. The ceremony was presided over by His Holiness the Je Khenpo. It ended with a Tshepamey Wang. More 10,000 devotees from in and around the Dzongkhag gathered to receive the blessings.
During the programme, about 300 monks and Lam Neten of Trongsa Dratshang performed prayers and recited Bazaguru Dungdrup. The organiser, Trongsa Sidhi Moenlam Chenmo Tshogpa, said such ceremonies were performed to bring peace and prosperity and for the well being of all sentient beings.
This is the first such ceremony being performed in the Dzongkhag.
Meanwhile, His Holiness will also preside over a week-long Moenlam Chenmo in Zhemgang Dzongkhag beginning tomorrow.
