On the occasion of the 111th National Day, the Bhutanese Ambassador to Kuwait, Tshering Gyaltshen Penjor hosted a reception at Radisson Blu Hotel in Kuwait yesterday.
The Kuwaiti politician, Sheikh Nasser Mohammed Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and other prominent dignitaries attended the reception.
Diplomatic relations between Bhutan and the State of Kuwait was established on 23 May, 1983. Bhutan established a resident Embassy in Kuwait in May 1983, while Kuwait established its embassy in Thimphu on 29 December, 2010.
Bhutan and Kuwait maintain a close and friendly relations.
