Health Ministry gets support worth Nu. 3.5 million

More than Nu 3.5 million of health support was handed over to the Ministry of Health by World Health Organisation country office today. The support includes 2 PIMA CD4 count machine, 3 blood safety vans, 3 refrigerators for van and a Toyota land cruiser.

The health equipment will be installed in Phuentsholing and Samdrup Jongkhar hospitals to strengthen HIV treatment and care services.

The vans will be used for mobile blood donation camps during emergencies while the Toyota land cruiser is given to Royal Institute of Health and Sciences. The equipment was handed over by W.H.O’s Resident Representative Dr. Nani Nair to Health Minister Zanglay Dukpa.
