Bhutan wins six gold medals at Assam taekwondo championship

The Bhutanese Taekwondo team has won six gold medals at the first-ever Indian Cup Open International Taekwondo Championship.

Karma Yoezer from Bhutan also received the best referee trophy.

The championship was held in Silchar, Assam over the last three days. Over 300 participants from Bhutan, India, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Nepal and Uzbekistan took part.

The Bhutanese team will be back in the country tomorrow.
