(Forest fire update) The forest fire, which broke out on Saturday afternoon at around 2 pm opposite to Namselling, Thimphu has been contained.The fire damaged approximately 800 acres of blue pine forest.
The suspects are apprehended and will be levied penalty as per the Forest Rules and Regulations.
According to officials the fire started when a 78-year-old woman was burning debris in her apple orchard.
