Police in Trashi Yangtse apprehended a 56-year-old man for murdering his 67-year-old wife. The incident took place on Saturday night at Ramjar Gewog in Trashi Yangtse.
According to the report, the husband who was fully intoxicated hit her wife on the head by a firewood. The incident was reported to the Police at around 7:30 pm by the Mangap of the Gewog. The Chipoen of the village, who happened to visit the victim’s house on the same night for official work,found the woman covered by a blanket. The husband admitted that his wife was dead. Police are investigating the case.
