The new government-elect, Druk Nyamrup Tshogpa (DNT) says their topmost priority is to bring everyone together and to serve the interest of the country.

In a press conference yesterday, DNT President Lotay Tshering said there will be no difference in developmental activities irrespective of whether the candidate-elect from the constituency is an opposition member or a minister

He added everyone will be treated equally despite the party of their choice.

“It is not only DNT’s victory but of all the supporters of four political parties.”

The DNT President said they are happy not because of winning, but DNT having enough supporters from all over the country.

The DNT vowed to narrow the gap and take health care services to doorsteps of the people across the country.

Some of their pledges include the establishment of dedicated water agency, discontinuing examinations until class VI, and removing Class X cut-off point, institute the fourth pay commission to revise civil service salaries and allowances, set up insurance schemes for farmers to protect their crops.

It also includes establishing a tourism development board and initiate implementation of Bhutan Tourism review, 2016 recommendations.

DNT won in 30 constituencies in the General Election of the Third National Assembly Elections.

The party was founded in 2013 and contested in the second assembly elections.
