The Tshulag Lopen Samten Dorji of the Central Monastic Body was recently honoured with the International Buddhist Peace Award.
The award recognises Tshugla Lopen’s contributions towards Buddhism.
He received the award from the Chairman of the World Buddhist Scout Council last Thursday in Bangkok.
Tshulag Lopen Samten Dorji was also conferred an Honorary Doctorate in Philosophy, Morality, Theology, and Global Peace Promotion by the International University of Morality at a separate event in Bangkok.
The International University of Morality is a US-based university. The university offers Master and Doctorate degrees in professional and moral development.
