Investiture ceremony held in Nepal

The investiture ceremony of Trulku Jigme Choeying Norbu as the reincarnation of late Kuzhu Tshechu Rinpoche was conducted at Sangacholing Monasteryin Kathmandu, Nepal yesterday.

Drukpa Rinpoche Ngawang Khenrab Dorji, Yab Dasho Ugyen Dorji and Yum Thuji Zam were also present at the ceremony.

Thousands of devotees lined up along the road to receive blessing and offer Tashi Khadhar to Trulku Jigme Choeying Norbu. The ceremony began with Marchang and Zhudrel Phunsum Tshokpa. The Trulku was offered Kusung Thuk Gi Mendrel by the monks of the Sangacholing Monastery.

Drukpa Rinpochhe also offered the eight Auspicious Objects and Seven Precious Royal Emblems to the Truelku. The list of nine monasteries and nunneries was also handed over to the Trulku.

Truelku Jigme Choeying Norbu was born to Tenzin Namgyel and Karma Choden at Babesa, in Thimphu on the 24thJune, 2005. Truelku was first recognised by His Holiness the Je Khenpo and later endorsed by the Druk Menjong Trulku Ngoezin Tshogpa,

Various entertainment programmes, including performances by the popular singers of Bhutan, were staged. More than a thousand people offered Tashi Khadhar to the Truelku. Drukpa Rinpoche administered the blessing of long life to the Truelku today.
