Canadian businessmen explore Bhutan

A 21 one member delegation from Canada led by the Canadian Ambassador is in the country to explore business opportunities. The delegation comprises of business leaders from leading companies of the world based in Canada.

The delegation represents 14 different companies from Canada. These are construction sector, mining, aviation, health care, power, education, and pilot trainings.

The delegation met the business entrepreneurs of Bhutan and made a presentation about their respective companies yesterday.  The delegation was also briefed about the foreign direct investment policy of Bhutan.  The Canadian Ambassador said, Stewart G. Beck, Bhutan is an appropriate location for Canadian Investors.

“When I came here for the first time I realised that this is a really good opportunity for Canada to do collaboration and co-operation with Bhutan. We are in some ways similar, the geography is similar, and we are nature based resource economy. I just think that our experience will be appropriate to do business in Bhutan,” said the Ambassador.

The Canadian delegation said they are looking forward to invest in Bhutan. The delegation is in the country on a four-day visit.
