The night five-men archery tournament on compound bow, an archery tournament played at night is underway in Phuentsholing. Fourteen teams are taking part in the tournament, which began from February 27.
The game begins at 6.30 in the evening. Three teams with five players each compete in the 15-round game. Along with upholding and promoting the national game, the tournament is a gesture of welcoming the summer season by the archers of Phuentsholing.
For now, only teams from within Phuentsholing and Gedu are taking part in the tournament. But organisers are planning to invite more teams from nearby Dzongkhags like Samtse as well. The finalists will be awarded cash prizes but the amount is yet to be decided. Individual prizes like best archer, highest karey and dobjey will also be given.
