Terton Pema Lingpa’s Thongdrel was consecrated at Koenchhogsum Lhakhang under Chhoekhor Gewog in Bumthang this morning.

His Eminence the Sungtruel Rinpoche presided over the consecration ceremony.

This is the largest ever Thongdrel of Tertoen Pema Lingpa built in the country. The 42-feet-tall applique was built over 10 months time.

It was constructed at a cost of Nu 3.7m, which was funded by a private businessman.

This work of art is a tribute to the legacy of the great Treasure Revealer.

It will now be unfurled annually at the monastery at this time of the year.
