His Majesty grants Dhar to four new Drangpons

His Majesty The King granted Dhar to the four newly appointed Dzongkhag Drangpons at Tashichhodzong in Thimphu today.

The former Gelegphu Dungkhag Drangpon Karma Dorji is now the Drangpon of Tsirang Dzongkhag Court.

Drangpon Ramjam Pema Choden has been appointed as Drangpon of Commercial Bench in Thimphu Dzongkhag Court. Prior to her current appointment, she served in Public Notary Office in Thimphu.

Phuentshogling Dungkhag Drangpon Pema Dechen is appointed as the Drangpon of Thimphu Civil Bench.

Drangpon Ramjam Kezang Choden, who previously worked with Registry Section in Thimphu Dzongkhag Court will now serve as the Drangpon of Criminal Bench II in the same court.

In accordance with Section 73 of the Judicial Service Act of Bhutan 2007, Dzongkhag Drangpons are appointed “by the Druk Gyalpo by warrant under His hand and seal on the recommendation of the Chief Justice of Bhutan as per the nomination by the Royal Judicial Service Council”.
