drukairs-revenue-decreasesDrukair’s total revenue decreased by some Nu 70 M in 2015 as compared to 2014. The amount decreased from Nu 3 B to 2.8 B, the annual report of Druk Holding and Investments said.

Though the number of flights increased last year, Dukair saw lesser passengers compared to 2014.

The company had to cancel 83 scheduled flights after Nepal earthquake in April, last year.

Bangkok sector also saw a drop in the number of passengers as 25 direct flights were cancelled due to fewer passengers and consignment.

The report says while there was an increase in local fare paying passengers, it did not compensate the drop in the dollar paying passengers causing slump in the overall revenue, last year.

However, the report said Drukair made a significant improvement by reducing its loss by nearly Nu 1 M by cutting down its expenditure.
