His Majesty grants Tashi Khader to NC’s new eminent members

His Majesty the King granted Tashi Khadar to the three new eminent members of the National Council, today. His Majesty also granted Tashi Khadar to the newly-appointed post holders. The post holders are the Dzongdags of Pema Gatshel and Haa, and the Governor of the Royal Monetary Authority.

RMA-GovernorDasho Penjore was appointed as the Governor of the Royal Monetary Authority.Before assuming the post , he worked as the Chief Executive Officer of National Pension and Provident Fund.He served as Gyalpoi Zimpon and is a recipient of red scarf . The governor is appointed by Druk Gyalpo on recommendation of the Prime Minister.

His Majesty the King granted Tashi Khaddar to Karma Tshering, one of the newly appointed eminent members of the National Council. He served as the Director of the Department of Hydropower and Power Systems of the Economic Affairs Ministry before his current appointment.NC-Eminent-Members-L-R-Phuntsho-Rapten,-Kesang-Chuki-Dorjee,-Karma-Tshering

The other two members appointed were Phuntsho Rapten, the former Chief planning Officer of the Ministry of Labour and Human Resources, and Kezang Chuki Dorjee, who is the Director of the KCD Productions and award-winning independent documentary filmmaker.

The eminent members were appointed in place of former eminent members, Dasho Karma Yezer Raydi, Kuenley Tshering and Karma Damcho Nidup.

His Majesty also granted Tashi khadar to Phuntsho, the former Director of the National Council who is now the Dzongdag of Pema Gatshel.

L-R-PG-Dzongdag,-Haa-DzongdagKinzang Dorji was formally appointed as the Dzongdag of Haa. Prior to his current appointment, he worked as the Deputy Chief of Mission of Royal Bhutan Embassy in India.

The Dzongdags are appointed by Druk Gyalpo on recommendation of the Prime Minister upon receiving the nominations from RCSC.
