28 new HIV positive cases detected

HIV new casesSince July till now, 28 new HIV positive cases have been detected. Of the total, 11 are women, records with the Minister of Health say.

More than 90 percent of the cases were sexually transmitted.

460 cases were detected since 1993 and 86 patients have died till date.

Bhutan will observe the World Aids Day tomorrow with a theme “Seeking everyone’s shared responsibility to end Aids epidemic by 2025”.
