His Holiness graces International Day for Elimination of Violence against Women’s celebration-His Holiness the Je Khenpo graced the celebration of the International Day for Elimination of Violence against Women in Namdroling Genzin Dratshang in Autsho, yesterday.

In an address to the public, His Holiness the Je Khenpo urged the need to stop all forms of violence against women since women are the epitome of knowledge and wisdom. As alcohol being one of the main causes of violence, His Holiness urged the public to refrain from consuming alcohol. The program was organized by Lhuentse Dzongkhag with support from RENEW.

Meanwhile, His Holiness the Je Lhenpo is presiding over a weeklong Moenlam Chenmo in Namdroling Genzin Dratshang in Autsho.

The Moenlam Chenmo, which began on the November 25, will conclude on December 1. This is the 7th annual Moenlam Chenmo, organised by Lhuentse Dzongkhag and the Namdroling Genzin Dratshang. It is being organized for the well being of Their Majesties the Kings, members of the Royal Family and for all the sentient beings.
