Six boys arrested for theft

Thimphu Police arrested six boys, suspected to be involved in robbery, in the capital yesterday. The teenagers, between the ages of 14-18, are accused of robbing a man at Zilukha in Thimphu at around 8:15 PM on Saturday.

According police, the man was cycling home from office when he was stopped by the boys and was punched. The report says the teenagers then took the man’s cycle, mobile phone, and wallet with cash Nu 7,500.

The Police say the same group of boys damaged an Alto car the same night at around 10:50 PM at Hejo. The owner of the car informed Police and the Police caught a member of the group on the spot.

The Police had arrested rest of the members through him. Police added the group members are all student except for one. The case will be investigated and forwarded to the court.
