To reduce the import of bricks for construction activities, a new bricks manufacturing unit was established in Lhuentse. Phayul Bricks Manufacturing Unit will manufacture about ten thousand bricks in a day. The Proprietor, Tshering Phuntsho said the cost of bricks is expected to go down making it affordable to all. The unit was established with funds from the BOiC.
