The National Council unanimously endorsed the Narcotic Drugs, Psychotropic Substance and Substance Abuse Bill 2014, today.
The bill was discussed extensively for about two days. The bill will look at the effective measures against abuse and illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances. It will also look at putting in place appropriate preventive regulatory and control mechanism, among others.
