Often developmental works in gewogs under Sarpang Dzongkhag fail to complete on time. Shortage of engineer is one the biggest reasons behind this.
Now to the delight of the villagers, the 8th Dzongkhag Tshogdu held recently decided that each gewog will get an engineer and a technician each.
There are 12 gewogs under Sarpang Dzongkhag, most of which have people who have come through the resettlement programme.

The gewogs are seeing development with a lot of activities underway like the construction of farm road, providing drinking water supply and other amenities.
Therefore, the appointment of engineers and technicians for each gewog is expected to enable the gewogs not only to complete the works on time but also to focus on quality.
Currently, the gewog administration consists of elected leaders including Gup and Mangmi, government appointed Gewog Administrative Officer, the Gaydrung and Tshogpa.
