Scores of people from Zhemgang and nearby places are attending a five-day Moenlam Chenmo, in Zhemgang. His Holiness the Je Khenpo is presiding over the peace prayer, which began today.
Hundreds of monks, nuns and local Gomchens are performing the prayer for the well-being of people and sentient beings.
The prayer will end on the 28th of this month. This is the fifth Moenlam Chenmo the Dzongkhag is conducting. It was first held in 2009 by the Moenlam Chenmo Tshogpa of Zhemgang Dzongkhag.
