His Majesty the King conferred Dhar to the new Lhuentse Dzongdag, Sonam Wangyel. Sonam Wangyel served as the Chief Human Resource Officer in the Ministry of Education before his appointment as dzongdag.
Sonam Wangyel, 45, has M.Ed degree from the University of New England, Armidale, New South Wales, Australia. He joined the civil service as a teacher in 1993, and has served as a teacher and principal in various schools in the country.
