His Majesty graces concluding ceremony of 10th parliament session

HM-10thSessionClosing.,His Majesty the King graced the concluding ceremony of the 10th session of the first parliament, today.

His Majesty the King and her Majesty the Gyaltsuen were received by the Speaker, the National Council Chairperson, and the Secretary Generals of the two houses.

In his address, His Majesty said the five year old democracy in the country under the government had been fulfilling, and commended the achievements made in a short period of time.

Prime Minister, Jigmi Y Thinley, expressed gratitude to His Majesty the King, the country and the people for the immeasurable support rendered to the government in strengthening democracy.

The Speaker, the National Council Chairperson, the Opposition leader and Members of Parliament also thanked His Majesty the King for his wise leadership and benevolent support.

The Concluding ceremony of the Tenth session of the first parliament was also attended by their Royal Highnesses the Princes and Princesses, senior government officials, and members of International Community.

The ceremony concluded with the offering of Tashi Lek Moen to His Majesty the King by Members of Parliament, and the offering of Tashi Khadar to His Majesty.
