His Holiness the Je Khenpo appoints new principal of Talo Shedra

His Holiness the Je Khenpo appointed 33-year-old Dendup Dorji as the new principal of Talo Shedra in Punakha. His Holiness conferred the dhar at the Tashichhoedzong today. The new principal is from Taktse in Trongsa. He entered monkhood at the age of eleven. He graduated from Tango Dorden Tashithang University in 2017 and completed his three-year retreat from Shar Dechenchoeling Dubdhey in Wangdue Phodrang. Prior to the current appointment, he served as a teacher at the Tango Institute for Advanced Vajrayana Studies for three years.
