Much to the relief of the commuters and people in the east, the Kuri-Gongri bridge in Monggar which collapsed twice will be reconstructed in two months. The Infrastructure and Transport Minister confirmed this saying a modular bridge will be constructed this time. A modular bridge consists of prefabricated parts that can be installed quickly in the field. The bridge initially collapsed on 23rd May along with a dumper truck. It collapsed again in June, after two weeks of its reconstruction.
