Her Majesty Queen Mother Tseyring Pem Wangchuck joins tree plantation

More than a thousand trees have been planted across the country as part of the Social Forestry Day and His Majesty the Fourth Druk Gyalpo the 49th Coronation celebrations today. Her Majesty Queen Mother Tseyring Pem Wangchuck, President of the Youth Development Fund, joined the tree planting event at Samazingkha in Thimphu.

Today’s event was held in eight districts with more than 800 volunteers. It is a part of the YDF’s Nurture a tree under which a million trees will be planted across the country. More than 10,000 trees have already been planted.
