DTT declares three more candidates

The Druk Thuendrel Tshogpa, DTT unveiled three more candidates in Thimphu today. The new candidates will represent three constituencies of Gasa, Monggar and Sarpang. With this, the party has declared 31 candidates so far.

Dorji Khandu, a former National Council member is the party’s candidate from Khatoed-Laya constituency in Gasa. The 37-year-old holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Canberra in Australia and a master’s degree in Engineering from the University of Moratuwa in Sri Lanka.

 

 

 

 

Likewise, 35-year-old Sonam Pelzom, a former National Council member will represent the Monggar constituency in Monggar. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Dzongkha with Geography from Sherubtse College.

 

 

 

 

 

And, Karma Jurmin Thinlay was declared as the party’s candidate for the Gelephu constituency in Sarpang. The 53-year-old has a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Saint Anthony’s College in India. Before joining the party, he served as the Foreign Officer and Diplomat abroad for more than twenty-six years.

 

 

 

 

The Druk Thuendrel Tshogpa is one of the five registered political parties in the country.
