Bangladesh golfer wins Bhutan Amateur Open Golf Championship

More than 40 golfers from Bhutan, Bangladesh, Nepal and India took part in the Bhutan Amateur Open Golf Championship. His Royal Highness, Prince Jigme Dorji Wangchuck, graced the closing ceremony, yesterday.

A golfer from Bangladesh, M Dulal Hossain, won this year’s Bhutan Amateur Open Golf Championship with the total gross score of 293.

The championship is a prestigious golf tournament and determines the best golfer played over 72 holes.

Meanwhile, in the Team Event Championship played over two days, Bangladesh won with total gross score of 282 while Bhutan was the runners up with 295 points.

A total of forty eight golfers including nine amateur players from Nepal, Bangladesh and India participated in the Championship at the Royal Thimphu Golf Club.
