Gender equality is gaining precedence in the country with more and more women setting foot in male-dominated fields. Women are hurling Khurus at wooden targets to defy gender norms, while some have taken to driving late into the night as taxi drivers. And now, there will soon be female city bus drivers. Seven women in Thimphu have undergone months of training to take up what is normally considered an occupation for men.
