Government of India releases Nu 1.2bn for development projects in the country

The Indian government has released more than Nu 1.2bn recently for the transitional Trade Support Facility and the Program Grant. Nu 800 M of the amount will be used to construct Pasakha dry port, conduct feasibility studies of the Nganglam and Gelephu dry port and implement Bhutan Integrated Taxation System among others.

The remaining Nu 425 M is released as a program grant. The Program Grant facility is an untied grant in the form of direct budgetary support to the finances of the Government.
