Improving solid waste management

The government received more than 30 waste disposal vehicles including compactor trucks, container carriers, bulldozers, excavators, and backhoe loaders from the government of Japan today. The machinery worth around Nu 330 M was given under the project for improving solid waste management. The waste utility vehicles will be distributed to Thimphu, Phuentshogling, Gelephu, and Samdrup Jongkhar Thromdes. Officials said it will help improve the delivery of waste management services.
