Bhutan maintains an impressive 94 per cent COVID-19 recovery rate without a single death. Updating on it, Health Minister Dechen Wangmo, however, requested the general public not to be complacent. Of the 378 COVID-19 confirmed cases reported to date, 357 individuals have successfully recovered so far.

“We have maintained an impressive COVID-19 recovery rate of 94% and this is a good achievement globally. From the very first day of detection of the virus in an individual, we conduct a blood test and X-rays too. The health officials also strictly monitor their diet. Health workers work hard and give intensive care to all patients, which is why we have been able to maintain an impressive recovery rate. Moreover, we don’t have a single person dying due to the virus in the country so far,” said Lyonpo, during the press brief earlier today.
