Complaints about the delayed and poor production of hazelnut in Monggar have taken a back seat, perhaps for good. Since recently, the district’s hazelnut growers are experiencing an increase in yield.
Many farmers in the country ventured into growing the nut as an alternate source of income a few years ago. And a poor outcome of the plantation even after years was a common sentiment they had been expressing.
