Post lockdown, with the nation embracing the new normal, people of Gamakha-Sepotkha chiwog under Barp Gewog Punakha are planning to resume their business of maykhu, a popular local snack. Like many others across the country, the three-week nationwide lockdown last month had left them out of business. Maykhu or fried puff bread is sought-after by travellers along the Thimphu-Punakha highway and is one of the main income sources for the people of communities situated along the route.
