Monsoon is a blessing and a curse as well to the farmers. The season brings in the much-needed rains for the crops but when the rains started falling too fast the curse begins.

For five households of two chiwogs in Thang-Rong Gewog in Monggar, it is about bracing for damages of lands, crops, properties and oftentimes, lives. According to our reporter in Monggar, the landslide-prone site affecting the households remains unattended to for some three years now.
