Senior civil servants appointed and transferred

Two senior civil servants have been appointed as Joint Secretaries through open competition and selection interviews. The Director General of Department of Trade, Sonam P Wangdi, has been appointed as the Joint Secretary of Economic Affairs.

The Director of Department of Public Accounts, Nim Dorji, has been appointed as the Joint Secretary of Finance Ministry. According to the press release from the Royal Civil Service Commission, RCSC, the appointments come into effect from tomorrow.

Meanwhile, six civil senior servants have been transferred to various departments. The Director of Road Safety and Transport Authority, Tashi Norbu, has been transferred as Executive Director of Bhutan Health Trust Fund.

The Executive Director of Construction Development Board, Wangdi Gyeltshen, is the new Director of Department of Civil Aviation.

Phala Dorji, the Director General of Civil Aviation is the new DG of Construction Development Board.

The former DG of National Housing Development Corporation, Phuntsho Wangdi, is the new Director of Bhutan Narcotic Control Agency, BNCA. And the Executive Director of BNCA, Kinley Dorji is the new Director of National Statistics Bureau.

And the Director General of National Statistics Bureau, Kuenga Tshering is the new Director General of Department of Trade.

The transfers of comes with immediate effect.
