With about 3,000 Bhutanese abroad wanting to return home amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the government is planning on sending relief flights to bring them back.
According to the Foreign Minister, Dr Tandi Dorji, the government is seeking approval from the Indian Government to send relief flights to bring back Bhutanese students stranded in India. Similarly, Lyonpo said flight plans are being made to bring back Bhutanese from other countries.
