To pay homage to the man who built India, the Indian embassy in Thimphu unveiled a life-size statue of Mahatma Gandhi at the India House Estate on his 150th birth anniversary. Mahatma Gandhi freed India from the British colonial rule in the 1940s through non-violent protests.
