Bhutan’s under-19 cricket team lost their second match of the Under-19 Cricket World Cup Qualifier Asia Division 2  against Saudi Arabia today.

Despite restricting Saudi Arabia to 97 runs, the Bhutanese batters could not bat long enough to chase down the target. Bhutan was all out for just 54 runs.

In its first match of the ICC Under-19 World Cup Asia Division 2 Qualifiers yesterday, the Bhutanese team lost to Oman by 8 wickets.

After winning the toss, the dragon boys opted to bat first and could hardly manage to make 48 runs in just 19 overs.

Bhutan will next take on host nation Thailand on Wednesday.

Thailand is hosting the event with ten teams divided into two groups. The top two teams from each pool will advance to the semi-finals.

The winner from the Asia Division 2 Qualifiers will join Nepal, Malaysia, and Singapore in the Asia Division 1 Qualifiers.
