Police in Paro are investigating a gold smuggling case involving a 48-year-old suspect from Tsento.
The man was arrested from Drukgyal on October 30 following a tip off. He had 43 kilograms of gold in his possession at the time of arrest. The gold was found from his Prado.
Police suspect the man bought the gold from Tibet and was meant to be handed over to smugglers in India and Nepal.
The case is likely to be forwarded to the court soon.
