Taktse Action Area Plan in Trongsa deferred

It looks like the plan to develop Taktse Village under Dragteng Gewog in Trongsa into a commercial space will remain on paper for some time. The district administration has deferred the implementation of the 'action area plan', which is like a guidebook for a town development to the next or the 13th Five-Year Plan.  

Isuna park- from a dumping site to a recreational centre

Once a dumping site, it is now a park at Isuna in Paro. Inaugurated yesterday, the newly opened park promotes ecotourism and caters to people of all ages. It was developed by the Green Bhutan Corporation, a state-owned enterprise.

OAG takes three suspects to court for alleged involvement in the death of a man while hunting

More than a month after a young man died while hunting with three others in Punakha, the Office of the Attorney General forwarded the case to the district court, yesterday. The 25-year-old man died on his way to the hospital after he was allegedly hit by a poisoned arrow in July. The OAG is taking the three others to the court for their involvement in his death and poaching.
