Drawing inspiration from His Majesty The King’s Royal initiative of feeding stray dogs during the nationwide lockdown, a group of volunteers – ‘Zeus for stray and homeless’ – is feeding and taking care of more than 300 stray dogs in Thimphu every day. The group of six men who were previously employed in the tourism sector fed over 40,000 dogs in the last five months. According to experts, the risks of dogs becoming feral and aggressive due to hunger could also be reduced through such initiatives.
