Farmers of Sibsoo Gewog in Samtse are frequently attacked by wild elephant damaging houses and properties. In a latest incident three houses have been damaged at three different places in Sibsoo injuring a woman on Wednesday.
According to the daughter of the injured woman, half of their mother’s body got buried after the wall collapsed when the elephant tried to enter the house. However, the elephant could not enter the house as the neighbours came for rescue and chased away the animal.
