A single storied traditional house above Changjiji colony in Thimphu was razed by fire today. The incident took place at around 3:15 p.m.
The tenants and house owner lost all their belongings. According to the house owner, the fire must have started from the kerosene heater which she hadn’t put off.
No casualties reported were reported.
Meanwhile, another single storied house was razed to the ground in Lahatar village of Gomtu under Samtse yesterday afternoon at around. No one was at home when the incident took place.
The fire is suspected to have started from a short circuit.
The victims have been provided emergency support by the Penden Cement Authority.
